Erosion Horizon
Gonçalo Sena
Using drawing as a starting point, Sena’s artistic practice develops mainly through sculptural and spatial processes. Adhering closely and poetically to materials’ tactile identity and visual qualities, his work often concerns topics that merge the industrial and the natural through sculptural fragmented narratives, auto-biographic references, and relations between language structures and spatial perception. Sena’s recent works explore encounters between hybrid non-functional concrete structures, everyday objects and organic materials. Using the exhibition format as a temporary publication responding to specific site and contexts, Sena explores work production and installation processes exhaustively, responding to the architectural environment aiming for mutability and displacement.
